Abigail Cole is a strategic communications and public affairs professional with experience developing integrated campaigns for clients across healthcare, technology, defense, and advocacy. As a Senior Director at Rational, she leads public affairs and communications campaigns, specializing in media relations, narrative strategy, thought leadership, rapid response, and stakeholder engagement. She consistently secures earned media and thought leadership opportunities in leading national and regional outlets for clients.
Before joining Rational, Abigail supported the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) at ICF Next and previously served as Communications Director for a member of the U.S. House of Representatives. In 2026, she was nominated for the Washington Women in Public Relations Emerging Leaders Awards. Abigail holds a master’s degree in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from Georgetown University and a bachelor’s degree from Trinity University.
